Children’s Home and Agroforestry (Past Program)
Not For Sale’s people work in Honduras combined residential care for children at risk of trafficking with agroforestry training for their families, linking land stewardship with economic opportunity as a long-term prevention strategy.
What We Found
Honduras sits on one of the most dangerous trafficking corridors in the world. Poverty, gang violence, and political instability push families to migrate, and children who travel unaccompanied become highly vulnerable to traffickers. Internally, child labor in agriculture and domestic service is widespread. Not For Sale Honduras ran a children’s home providing shelter, education, and care, a model that carried forward into later programmes in Uganda and Thailand. The formal programme has since concluded.
