Education and Awareness (Past Program)
Not For Sale’s people work in India engaged children and families in communities vulnerable to labor trafficking and early forced marriage through camp-based education and awareness programs.
What We Found
India has one of the largest populations of trafficking victims in the world. Millions of people, primarily women and children, are trafficked domestically for commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor in agriculture, brick kilns, domestic service, and textile production. Poverty, caste discrimination, and gender inequality are the structural drivers. The formal programme has concluded, but India remains a country Not For Sale monitors as it builds out its Asia strategy.
