ghd (Good Hair Day) is a global leader in professional hair styling tools, sold in over 50,000 salons across 30+ countries. The company’s partnership with Not For Sale was forged through Lion Capital, the private equity firm that acquired ghd in 2013 and also connected AllSaints to Not For Sale.
The Partnership
Under Lion Capital’s ownership (2013–2016), ghd supported Not For Sale’s mission through financial contributions and brand advocacy. Lion Capital saw an opportunity to connect the brands in its portfolio to the anti-trafficking mission, just as AllSaints became a 15-year partner through this same connection, ghd supported Not For Sale’s work during a pivotal growth period when the organization was expanding its global footprint and scaling its social innovation ventures.
About ghd
Founded in Leeds in 2001, ghd has built a reputation for scientifically engineered styling tools, winning over 550 beauty awards. The brand is used by 125,000 hairstylists worldwide. Beyond hair, ghd runs its annual Good Care Day, a company-wide day of service during which employees donate their time to local charities and community organizations.
What ghd’s Support Made Possible
Financial contributions from ghd during its Lion Capital years supported Not For Sale’s programs across multiple countries, including the work in Thailand and the Netherlands that continues today.
